In this paper, we present an extremely compact ultrawideband (UWB) monopole microstrip patch antenna for a wireless body area network (WBAN). The proposed is fabricated on flexible Rogers RT-5880 dielectric substrate of thickness 0.5 mm and has overall size 20 × 15 0.5 m 3 . achieves wideband characteristic with the help modified ground plane pair. fed through line good impedance matching over frequency band 3.2 to 15 GHz (and beyond), axial ratio below 3 dB high efficiency 77–95%. This designed cover almost complete UWB range; bandwidth 11.52 (3.48-15 GHz). realized gain 2.3–7.2 dBi throughout been tested conformality. Measured results are found be in correlation simulated results. also specific absorption rate (SAR) values within simulation compare Federal Communications Commission (FCC) limits verify their suitability Internet Things- (IoT-) based wearable network.
